with a focus on Mission Command systems. The chosen candidate will develop concepts that provide guidance and ensure requirements and provisions are satisfied. Tasks will include developing system level concepts that describe solutions that often involve multiple systems.
These solutions outline the behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to support SW development teams. This role may also involve working with the Program Management Team to prioritize Feature development. The role requires a highly organized candidate with a strong technical background in system engineering principles. The candidate in this role will function within the project office's Mission Command
Product office and will work with contractors, government civilians, and system operators.
The candidate must have experience in at least one of the following areas: Tactical command and control systems Tactical weapons systems Tactical sensor systems, hardware, embedded software Real-time software, near real-time software, and/or distributed software The candidate must be a self-starter and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that FMS software can meet the needs of the intended users. Basic Qualifications: US Citizenship A resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area. A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field is required.
10 or more years of system engineering experience. background in requirements decomposition, MBSE, Modular Open Systems Architectures, and Use case development. The ability to show having a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment. Other Qualifications: System engineering experience in support of Do D programs is preferred, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program is highly desired. Experience with systems engineering in an Agile methodology environment highly desired. SAFe© Agile experience a plus.
