position installs, modifies, makes repairs to the network hardware and software systems, and provides regular reports on the continued operation and health of the wired and wireless network to the IT/IS Manager and the Director of Operations. Along with the continued support to IT systems, networks, and end users, the Network Technician also maintains and updates performance analytics as they relate to network health.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Network+ certification preferred Some experience with Microsoft products (Server 2012, etc. ) preferred Technical Responsibilities and Duties: Provision of end-user support Plan, test and deploy network hardware and software
in the district Monitor and perform preventative maintenance for server and network infrastructure as needed Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution using the internal helpdesk software Active Directory support, perform adds, deletes, and changes Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware and cabling Administrative Responsibilities and Duties: Oversee the return/repair of faulty network equipment Google domain support (e. g. Add, remove users, reset passwords) Provide regular reports to the IT/IS manager on network and server health Provide guidance and recommendations
for deploying network monitoring tools Professional Requirements: Must be able to work with small electrical components Must be able to work in ceilings and on rooftops Must be able to lift over 50lbs Must be willing to learn and build new skills as they pertain to the existing environment and changes to the network infrastructure The requirements detailed in his job description are not exclusive.
