interface team defining & developing all aspects of interceptor interfaces, including: Interface planning, Interface Definition Documents (IDD), Interface Requirements Specifications (IRS), Interface Control Documents (ICD), change packages, and participation in technical working groups, supporting program reviews, and associated activities.
Essential Functions: Mentor less senior interface engineers, providing technical guidance, advice and recommendations to achieve optimal interface development Support the development and documentation of external and internal interfaces relating to the NGI systems and subsystems, including ground and inflight communications Perform functional analysis
in support of interface development, with behavioral traceability of the Boost Vehicle and Kill Vehicles related to internal and external interfaces Develop documentation related to NGI interfaces, including Interface Definition Documents (IDDs), Interface Requirements Specifications (IRSs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs) Support technical working groups and major program reviews (PDR/CDR), including related support reviews and activities Basic Qualifications: Experience performing systems engineering for Do D weapons systems Experience functioning as part of an Integrated Product Team or similar team developing systems engineering products and artifacts Familiarity with requirements engineering,
including experience working with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) Requirements & Verification systems engineering understanding Interface with other product teams, including configuration management, mission assurance, safety and cost related groups.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong MDA or MDA GMD experience Demonstrated Systems Engineering skills and experience with interface engineering, including ground and RF message syntax, physical/ network specifications and models, and the generation and capture of interface data MBSE (CAMEO) environment experience Military or civilian experience with some or all of the following formats, Mil-Standards, and system criteria to the data bit level: Mil-Std-6017, Mil-Std-6016, Mil-Std-3011, VMF, JTIDS, Link 16, JREAP, BMDS, CDLMS, AEGIS data links, aircraft carrier data links, military aircraft data links, THAAD interfaces, PATRIOT interfaces, SBIRS interfaces, C2BMC interfaces, ARINC interfaces, Mil-Std-1553; Experience working in classified environment, including classified labs.
