Changes to the databases and infrastructure shall follow DCMA's Change Management processes as described in Addendum D. The contractor shall: Perform as the lead DBA for all databases (Oracle/MS SQL/Informatica) in all DCMA environments Resolve database Service Requests (SRs) Generate a before and after Monthly User Access Report for DCMA databases and database management systems and validate/reconcile
authorization of each user against the DCMA ITK (DCMA Cyber Security) 360 DD2875, Do D System Authorization Access Request, library. Schedule, execute, and monitor automated database jobs and report job failures daily Provide accurate/comprehensive Monthly Database Metric Report.
Establish and maintain a metrics program to document successes and failures, trends, perform analyses, and brief database performance to the Government. Develop and update database software upgrade plans and implement approved upgrade plans as required. Create documentation necessary to support a database upgrade or installation. Create, document, validate, implement, test and coordinate back-up and restoration
procedures. Ensure when troubleshooting, to provide detailed instructions on troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Implement, maintain, document, and test the backup & recovery strategies. Install, configure and upgrade database server software and related products Maintain and enforce naming standards for database objects such as table spaces, tables, indexes & views Maintain the integrity of the data in all databases Monitor database performance and resolve performance issues Move, rebuild, or change database objects as required in supported environments Perform database maintenance functions Perform database migrations Perform database optimization Perform database health checks (which includes health reports as needed) and take corrective measures where appropriate Assist in resolving production database issues.
This will frequently require the contractor to request data extractions from production database servers for the purpose of recreating the issue within the supported environment Perform data refreshes within the supported environment. This requires the contractor to migrate production data to the supported environment databases Review and monitor system and instance resources to insure continuous database operations (i.
e. database storage, memory, Central Processing Unit (CPU), network usage, and input/output contention) Upgrade/migrate databases to current release levels Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Minimum 8 years of senior level experience in MS SQL in an enterprise environment supporting over 10K users with multiple databases.
