This individual will lead the Business Development efforts for the Indianapolis market with the primary goal of increasing project opportunities and may be requested to assist with Business Development across IN as opportunities are identified. of Client Development and additional leaders to develop target clients within public and private market sectors Identify key decision makers to develop relationships and build partnerships Increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening existing business relationships Identify, develop, and win new key client relationships and projects Collaborate with other S&ME Client Development Leaders, Business Developers, and internal key stakeholders to position and win multidisciplinary projects Improve pursuit success rates and market gross revenue Use the CRM, Unanet, to capture company and contact information, log meetings with key clients, and track opportunities and project
wins Maintain membership and involvement with key professional and local associations and achieve significant committee and/or leadership position Assist with planning and organizing local marketing functions, including golf tournaments, charitable events, and other networking and social activities, many of which may occur after normal business hours Provide client relationship and business development mentorship and training to Ohio office personnel Work with office leaders to plan association involvement levels and budgets for office personnel Partner with marketing specialists to design and implement advertising strategies including content selection and budgeting for local office needs Contribute to social media platforms to support S&ME's visibility and name recognition Review and make recommendations to enhance the current RFP/RFQ process, follow go/no-go standards, and collaborate with the marketing specialists and project managers Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, construction, business, or related professional degree 8+ years of related experience Previous experience with the A/E/C industry in marketing or business development Preferred Qualifications: Existing relationships with Ohio public entities such as Cities and Counties, and private companies such as Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Developers, and Owners Current involvement and visibility in professional organizations, industry associations, civic groups, and/or local associations for economic and business growth Why work at S&ME?
