and day-to-day operational support for the physical RDT&E/SRDT&E network environment. Support includes, at a minimum: hardware/software installation, firmware upgrades, Security Technical Information Guide (STIG) compliance, and enhancements to network routers and switches.
This support will encompass integration, analysis, testing, troubleshooting of network devices and services, asset management and use of enterprise network management tools to monitor and analyze network performance at the physical and Internet Protocol (IP) packet level. The contractor shall be on-call and available to respond to and resolve network outages that occur during non-business hours (after hours, weekends,
or holidays). -Install and maintain copper twisted pair and fiber optic cables and provide documented certification to required specifications for network operations.
This shall include new site-specific installations, modifications and enhancements to new and existing installations, distribution technology, microwave applications, standard telephone, and modem technology. The contractor shall possess familiarity with frameworks, protocols, and interfaces to include Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Open Systems Interconnection (OSI), Ethernet, leased lines, bridges, and routers. -Install and maintain the RDT&E / wireless network infrastructure, enabling both in-building
and outside coverage. -Possess and maintain familiarity with enterprise wireless specifications.
-Perform program record maintenance including tracking of network infrastructure, plant account, trend analysis, and documentation. -Develop and maintain network infrastructure diagrams, Risk Management Framework (RMF) drawings in support of the RDT&E Networks Authority to Operate (ATO), and other artifacts utilizing AUTODESK Auto CAD software, and other programs as directed by the government. -Produce printed versions of these diagrams on large format printers and or plotters at the government's direction. -Establish a test environment setup, conduct test case reviews and inspections, execute tests, and report results for network infrastructure.
-Establish and maintain a corrective action system to record and track an identified problem, coordinate with vendors to resolve problems found during testing and conduct regression tests to verify corrections. -Prototype, install, and maintain configurations of, but not limited to: Aruba, Extreme, Ruckus, Palo Alto, and F5 hardware infrastructure for routing and distribution, as well as Firewall and Boundary routing. -Manage IP space, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), route tables, and VPCs to establish connectivity for cloud accounts.
The contractor shall establish and maintain Virtual Private Gateways/Virtual Gateways and/or Azure Gateway Virtual Network Peering to establish connectivity between RDT&E network and Cloud platforms. The contractor shall monitor and troubleshoot connectivity, bandwidth, and latency issues with cloud customers and DE Cloud Engineers. Requirements: -Bachelor's Degree in STEM or an IT related field -Eight (8) or more years of experience in the design, installation, maintenance and management of complex network systems -Demonstrated knowledge of Do D architecture frameworks and business/acquisition processes -Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex problems to ensure no disruption of mission-critical applications Applicants may be required to show proof of a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card to be eligible for employment at some work sites.
