Principal Systems Engineer - System Architect to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the continued development of an advanced, leading-edge, hybrid architecture with excellent technical guidance and communication skills. As the Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - System Architect you will function as the Senior Systems Architect and subject matter expert in a SAFe Agile

development environment and will effectively work and communicate with all levels of Program Leadership, Customers, and Engineers on the Program team. This position is for Richardson, Texas.

Responsibilities to Anticipate: The System Architect will be responsible for leading the team regarding the technical architecture and design of the solution for the product development teams. The Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline that the program implements will also be part if the System Architects area of responsibility The System Architect will also work on a cloud solution, where parts of the system will be migrated to the Cloud environment and other parts will remain on a hardware environment

The System Architect is required to have significant knowledge of networking, infrastructure, and security, in addition to being experienced with designing/architecting solutions for the cloud are highly desired.

Basic Qualifications (Required): Active Top Secret security clearance Broad background and experience successfully working with and communicating at all levels of engineering development in large government programs as well as individual contributors as part of a program team Experience working in an Agile development team environment with multi discipline engineers and stake holders, developing system solutions to meet customer needs and requirements Extensive systems engineering experience, including wide-ranging System Architecture and Technical Team Lead experience Extensive engineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology that ensures high quality software is built and released to end-users quickly and within cost and schedule parameters Experience with the Cloud technologies and Cloud migration, Containerization and databases, Automation (Build, Deploy, Test) Experience using Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.

), and evaluation of COTS / FOSS applications Comp TIA Security + Certification – Linux Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Preferred Qualifications: Do DAF experience using the Architecture Framework for definition of large systems with complex integration and interoperability challenges.

Experience developing MBSE and Do DAF operational views for overview and details aimed to specific stakeholders within their domain and in interaction with other domains in which the system will operate AWS cloud architecting experience - AWS cloud technology knowledge and implementation Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience, as a System Architect/System Engineer or working directly with in such roles Experience with different Architecture Frameworks, aside from Do DAF Experience working in Dev Ops and/or Dev Sec Ops development environments Experience using modeling resources and methodologies like Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, etc.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
