Salesforce is actively seeking a highly motivated and strategic Security Director to join our Marketing Organization. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in ensuring that Salesforce leadership has the vital information to make strategic risk-based decisions, drive the achievement of business objectives,
and maintain ongoing security and compliance for our valued customers. You will establish frameworks, articulate strategies, and lead the development of risk management, with a focus on security within the generative AI landscape and expand to other areas of risk as the function evolves.
Responsibilities: Develop and lead the strategic roadmap for the Security and risk function, including evaluating compliance and security risks and crafting appropriate controls to mitigate them optimally. Assist in building a diverse vulnerability management program that covers secure software development lifecycle, patch governance, and application security. Assist with system vulnerability backssments
and drive remediation of control deficiencies and gaps identified internally and externally.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key collaborators, such as business, legal, Employee Success, internal audit, and technical/engineering teams, to provide guidance on security requirements and oversee solution management. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including SOC, PCI, ISO 27001, SOX, NIST, GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data privacy laws. Develop key performance indicators around vulnerabilities, triage, and security controls. Build positive relationships with business partners and facilitate continuous improvement aligned with operational processes.
Deliver accurate and practical compliance mentorship and direction to internal partners. Be a technical driver for security operational work with an understanding of common security operational processes. Ensure data is collected to inform decision-making for mitigating risks and resolving issues appropriately. Seeking out opportunities to automate processes when appropriate. Regularly monitor and analyze key risk indicators, market trends, and potential risk exposure, providing insightful updates and recommendations to executive management. Develop a culture of risk awareness, encourage adherence to standard methodologies, and promote collaboration and visibility within the organization.
Implement an integrated and unified approach to risk management, reducing risk and enhancing control effectiveness by addressing organizational silos and redundancies. Experience and Skills Required: 10+ years of relevant work experience (Director) in security, governance, risk management, compliance, audit, internal controls, or other security-related fields. Strong background in (Digital) Marketing and a natural curiosity in new marketing tactics and automation techniques.
Tried experience building and running a successful comprehensive vulnerability management program. Proficient understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO27001, SOX, SOC, HITRUST, Fed RAMP, PCI, and GDPR, among others. Familiarity with cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Cloud Platforms (Saa S, Iaa S, Paa S, etc. ). Hands-on experience in implementing GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) programs, coupled with extensive knowledge of strategy, governance, risk management, and compliance concepts. In-depth knowledge of various risk domains, including Privacy, Info Sec, Third Party, Business Continuity, Business, and Operational.
Demonstrated expertise in developing risk frameworks, devising effective mitigation strategies, and supervising risk exposure. Consistent track record in creating and implementing strategic privacy and compliance roadmaps. Excellent communication and writing skills, enabling effective communication of complex risk concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong executive presence and ability to bridge the gap between business and technical areas, establishing rapport and cultivating partnerships.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple priorities concurrently and delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
