to join the Ascend Program team, managing a diverse and talented team to implement an enterprise cloud-based financial system that will transform our approach to managing the enterprise. As a key member of the project leadership team, the Technical Manager oversees the Technical workstream and ensures alignment of project objectives, scope of work and delivery of technical components related to the implementation.
The Technical Manager collaborates closely with the Functional Manager and Organizational Change Management Manager to plan and manage the delivery of technical solutions related to integration, data conversion, identity management, reporting and information security. The Technical
Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the technical requirements are met and will oversee the entire life-cycle from requirements inception through the multi-phase deployment.
General Responsibilities include: Review overall project strategies / approaches for all technology workstreams including data conversion, system remediation, integrations, security and reporting; Oversee the project management activities of all technical workstreams for design, development, test and cutover with a technical lens; manage Technical Leads and technology Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and coordinate with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams; represent technical team and work in project
management and planning meetings; plan and manage platforms, hosting environments and other required infrastructure related activities as applicable; coordinate activities and communication across all technical team members; define and champion development standards; assist in developing the overall work plan; assist Technical workstream Leads in the development of individual workstream work plans; responsible for the providing input into accurate work plan and reporting of technical teams' status; provide process improvement measurement definition, metric baseline, and improvement targets; communicate with leadership of impacted technical areas and escalate issues, risks, decisions, and design gaps as necessary; build post-implementation support model to ensure users and community are provided needed support services on an ongoing basis; actively participate in the design of new procedures, processes and associated change management documentation; lead or manage process and system design working sessions.
