The company is currently expanding with the goal of becoming the largest licensed brick-and-mortar sports retailer across the globe. General Position Summary Lids is striving to become a

data driven company and requires talented individuals to fulfill the BI Developer role. The role will support BI initiatives across different business areas by ensuring information is delivered in a timely and accurate manner that is easily understood by all end users.

Lids is predominantly using Microsoft Azure technologies with an Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture but looking to enable a Data Lake for future growth. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Provide reliable source of ownership for our Business Intelligence and Reporting systems. Technical, strategic, tactical, operational responsibilities associated with the following BI and BI-related functional areas: Data preparation

(sourcing, acquisition, integration) Data warehousing Reporting, analytics, data exploration Information delivery (portals, mobile) Developing and maintaining Azure Data Factory ETL packages for the importing and organization of the BI data.

Ensuring the accuracy of data. Work with Infrastructure Architect(s) to perform capacity planning and troubleshooting. Identifying data sources, constructing data decomposition diagrams, providing data flow diagrams and documenting the processes. Configure Business Intelligence and Reporting system effectively by implementing security filters and roles at the corporate, department and individual levels of the organization.

Help to identify and connect additional data sources (i. e. business critical database systems, outside data sources, etc. ) to the Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence system environment. Help to identify and add additional data fields from existing data sources into the Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence system environment. Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities Work with Business Analysts and other department leaders to translate business requirements into data models, develop / schedule ETLs, build data cubes and filtering, and validate results. Develop analytical databases and systems that allow for the creation of BI reporting in key departments.

Support already implemented Business Intelligence solutions by: monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring system performance and communicating functional and technical issues. Participating in change control activities. Creating and maintaining documentation such as operational information, installation procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and knowledge-base information. Expanding technical knowledge of the systems and tools utilized by the Lids IT Supporting and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Managing the goals and objectives established with the supervisor. Communicating with employees at all levels of the company. Other duties as assigned. Job Required Knowledge & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent. Five or more years of business experience in moderate to large-sized corporate environments. Five or more years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher. Strong working knowledge of the retail and distribution industry and its functions including the following areas: Finance, Retail Sales, Manufacturing, Purchase Order Entry, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, and Merchandising.

Extensive database system knowledge, database theory, database security, database design, capacity planning, performance analysis, and change management. Proven track record in the following areas: Azure SQL /Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft Dynamics 365 Azure Data Factory Transact SQL Intermediate to complex stored procedures and triggers SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) Analysis Services (SSAS) – Tabular Modeling Entity Relationship Diagram development Managed Data Lake / Warehouse Extensive expertise in data modeling, both logical and physical.

Experience in and understanding of a wide variety of analytical processes (governance, measurement, etc. ). Experience with agile software development. Knowledge of database tuning, capacity management, and resource forecasting. Experience with Azure Dev Ops documenting and progressing ticket/bugs through to the sprint release. Presents initiative and a positive attitude. Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills Programing experience in Python or.
