As a System Administrator, you will play a vital role in the development, enhancement, and sustainment of critical missile warning and/or space systems. Working in a closed lab environment, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the modernization

and maintenance of legacy systems, ensuring their continued reliability and functionality. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Network Operation Center (NOC) System Administrator implements/maintains the security and integrity of information systems and networks.

Identifies and resolves moderately complex issues to prevent cyber-attacks on information systems and to keep computer information systems secure from interruption of service, intellectual property theft, network viruses, data mining, financial theft, and theft of sensitive customer data, allowing business to continue as normal. This Position Reports to the Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station Shift work is required to support 24x7 operations.

It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule.

Typical Duties Include: Ensure all network and service monitoring tools are configured, optimized, and tuned to enable proactive network monitoring. Ensure all cybersecurity tools are configured, optimized, and tuned to enable proactive network defense. Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues. Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware. Respond to enterprise cyber security events by, blocking accounts, network isolation, access control list modification, emergency system changes, DISA first responder requirements, utilizing current capability OSCAR tool, Security Technical Implementation Guides/Anti-Virus (STIG/AV) scanning, and hash validation.

Monitoring network behavior, analyzing, initiating a response, and reporting on cybersecurity events. Provide guidance, direction, and training to others in the group. Serves as backup to other computer systems administrators. Other duties as assigned. Here’s What You’ll Need: Position requirements: Must have a TS clearance with SCI eligibility. Must have a high school diploma or GED.

3 years of work experience. 1 year experience as a system administrator of cyber security compliance systems, specifically HBSS, ACAS, and Splunk. Capable of supporting the CMSFS 24x7x365 NOC work center independently if required. PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience with trouble ticket systems. Experience with system administration of Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware. Experience and knowledge supporting the administration of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and understanding of network topologies and protocols.

Experience in system virtualization of Server and Client virtual machines for various virtual desktop environments. Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides/Anti-Virus (STIG/AV) scanning, and remediation of critical findings. Experience preparing and tracking system vulnerability documents. Experience troubleshooting skills in the computer/system administration environment. Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft operating systems as well as various Microsoft services and applications including; SCCM, SQL DHCP, DNS, Print, and Windows Deployment Server (WDS). General knowledge of VMware virtual desktop environment (VMware View Connection server, v Center server, v SAN Storage, Nutanix software) and associated dependencies.

Understanding of network topologies and protocols. Experience with network monitoring systems such as Solarwinds or What’s Up Gold (WUG). cjpost Essential Functions Work Environment Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle or a lab environment (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Commuting between locations may be required daily (~10-minute drive).

Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Work may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions. Physical Requirements Sitting at desk. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area. The position for which you are applying requires a US government security clearance. This is to advise you, that should you be extended an offer, if you possess a dual citizenship (i. e. citizen of the US and another country), to be granted a clearance you will be required to relinquish your citizenship in the foreign country. This position is expected to pay $55,000 - $83,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
