and Ops Technologies Department in the Cyber Effects Division is looking for a qualified applicant to serve as a Senior Network Engineer. The department is a diverse, multi-disciplinary team with a collective focus on developing innovative solutions that enable our sponsors to impose risk and consequences on adversaries operating in cyberspace.
Staff within this department primarily serve the Department of Justice and its associated Bureaus and Agencies but are soft-shelled to other sponsor work across MITRE. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security,
and performance of networks as well as working with emerging technologies to shape the future of our organization.
Roles and Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, with a focus on Juniper devices Lead Io T device installation and integration projects, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures Work closely with other teams to ensure network requirements are met and to support the integration of new technologies Monitor network performance and implement improvements to optimize network efficiency and security Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our networks remain cutting-edge and secure Required Qualifications: Active Secret clearance Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a Ph D with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
