Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Program Division seeks a highly skilled MITRE staff member with experience in Missile Defense Agency (MDA), MDA Command Control Battle Management Communications (C2BMC) system, and Department of Defense (Do D) Defense Design Planners and Training systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for technical advice on designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge defense planning and training solutions that support MITRE's mission to solve problems for a safer world. Roles and Responsibilities: Deliver technical advice and reviews of C2BMC Planning and Training system designs, implementations, and maintenance upgrades of complex virtualized architectures and infrastructures to support MITRE's research projects and government sponsor needs Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement solutions Deliver technical guidance and recommendations to government engineering team, helping them understand and drive innovation and advanced protype concepts into automation, modeling and simulation, software architectures, and integration outcomes Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, incorporating new ideas and innovations into the sponsor’s software planner and trainer infrastructure Collaborate with and lead project teams to ensure warfighter requirements are met and integrated seamlessly into the overall system defense design planning and training architectures Deliver technical acquisition advise to the government program management, contractual statement of work (SOW) development, technical contract evaluation, and contract negotiation technical expertise Have willingness to work as part of a government integrated product team environment partnering technical outcomes across multiple stakeholders and organizations Minimum Qualifications: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or similar technical engineering degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a Ph D with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. 10+ years of experience in applying expert experience level Missile Defense System technical capability acquisition, system testing and integration, with a focus on defense design planning and training of C2/C4ISR systems Strong understanding of Do D Defense Planning design, training systems design, advanced technologies and capabilities, including automation, virtualization, containerization, modeling and simulation Experience with modern software development practices including software assurance, and experience with gaining interim authorization to test (IATT), authorization to operate (ATO) approvals Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
