customers and utilize a broad engineering knowledge to perform engineering design and analyses in support of warhead development and test programs. Candidate will work closely with the customer to solve complex problems with significant impact on project deliverables.
Candidate will also be responsible for managing a small team of engineers including reviewing work, coaching, and assigning duties. Activities will include CAD design, hydrodynamic modeling and analysis, test definition, test data analysis, coordination with lethality analysts, overseeing fabrication of prototype hardware, coordination with test agencies, test planning, and documentation of test and analyses. Basic Qualifications
Bachelors' degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university. Plus 8 years’ experience working in research and development (R&D) environment.
Experience leading projects and tasks by working with stakeholders to determine requirements and creating schedules and milestones. Familiarity with Solid Works or similar CAD software. Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar Knowledge of blast fragmentation, shaped charge, Explosively Formed Penetrator,
and/or penetrator warhead technologies. Pay Range: Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
