Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL. This position requires on-site work to be performed in Huntsville, AL. There are no remote work options. The selected candidate will design, develop, and unit test a set of Common Core Services (CCSs) to be utilized within the GWS.
Those CCSs include Variable Message Format (VMF) Interface Translator Library Segment (VITLS) for internal interfaces among the GWS Products and some external interfaces, Adaptable Toolkit for Open Messaging System (ATOMS) for some external interfaces, and Mission Infrastructure (MI) for services such as data logging, data storage, event scheduling, and token management. GMD is
the United States' anti-ballistic missile system for intercepting incoming warheads in space, during the midcourse phase of ballistic trajectory flight. It is a major component of the American missile defense strategy to counter ballistic missiles in defense of the homeland.
