This HR unit also serves as the UC Path Shared Services Center for all HR and Payroll-related transactions entered into the HRIS system, reporting and managing employment records for the organization. The incumbent in this position will work closely with managers, faculty, staff students, and applicants with professionalism and excellence in customer service. The full salary

range for this position is $71,100 - $128,700 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $71,100.00 up to $100,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, relevant experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. Selected candidates will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.  Federal, state, or local government

directives may impose additional requirements. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Required Advanced degree Preferred Certifications Certification Requirement Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR/PHR), or comparable professional Human Resources certification Preferred CCP/CBP certification Preferred Experience Experience Requirement Previous experience in a Human Resources department within a School of Medicine, healthcare, or higher education institution Preferred Experience with staffing clinical practices Preferred 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required Experience with UC enterprise systems such as UC Path, HRDW, i Recruit.

Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information, and perform a wide range of duties that require tact, sensitivity, independent judgment, diplomacy, organizational skills, flexibility and discretion.

Demonstrated experience managing recruitment logistics, budgeting, metrics reporting and recruiting technology as well as demonstrated, thorough knowledge of recruiting best practices and Human Resources concepts and processes and their interdependence. Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, knowledge of functional area and understands how work may affect other areas.

Thorough knowledge of human resources concepts, policies and procedures, employment practices, labor relations, salary administration, training and other areas of human resources. Knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and/or other related business software programs and systems. Skilled in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing. Demonstrated analytical, active listening, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software and experience in effectively using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to create documents, reports and presentations.

Demonstrated ability to work closely with others as part of a team while being able to take full responsibility for a task. Demonstrated ability to quickly build and maintain relationship and establish trust with leaders, hiring managers, colleagues and candidates.
