RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES The housekeeping staff will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of the facility and attending to household tasks, of both common areas and resident private units, such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, bathroom and bedroom cleaning, linen and laundry service, as schedules or directed Prepare schedules for staff: including managing coverage in case of staff absence.

Maintain documentation and tiles, for operation of the housekeeping and laundry services. Ensure pertinent information is communicated to all department personnel.

Work with administration and other departments to ensure cooperation and communication for efficient service. Attend staff meetings and in-service training as required.

Help Head Housekeeper with maintenance of housekeeping supplies inventory. Report any fixtures that need fixing or replacing to maintenance department Practice safety techniques in using cleaning supplies, particularly ensuring supplies are secured. Report any known or suspected elderly abuse to the appropriate agencies, including but not limited to Adult Protective Services and Community Care Licensing.
