Job Duties: Must be able to read and write to the extent of understanding warning labels on equipment being used, and street signs and numbers Performs daily responsibilities and activities which include, but are not limited to concrete work and finishing of concrete, fence repair, minor pavement patching, grass cutting, weed control, snow and ice control operations (including snow plow and spreaders), and any other activities appropriate with climatic conditions Uses simple tools such as screed, shovel, pick, spade; does hand excavating, loading, unloading,
material handling, operates pneumatic or electrically powered or gas equipment, and chain saws Drives trucks through assigned areas and transports material to proper locations Works in conjunction with helpers to operate compaction equipment Provides necessary information to supervisory personnel for various reports Maintains truck or assigned vehicle to keep in good operating condition, keeps truck or vehicle clean and neat, and informs supervisor or mechanics of any mechanical trouble with truck or vehicle May be required to perform other duties as instructed by supervisory staff Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of appropriate methods of lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds on a routine
