JOB SUMMARY: We currently have openings for Millwright Mechanic (J1/J3) candidates who has a passion for safety, is a self-starter, takes initiative, can communicate effectively, and can work independently in a manufacturing environment.

This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, modifying, proper repair, precision installation, successful start-up, and reliability of all facility equipment. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following. Understands importance of and complies with Mill and department safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates Troubleshooting and servicing all production and support equipment within the facility in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring minimal downtime.

Provides technical support by operating a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions within the mill. Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations. Required Skills: BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE: Minimum Journeyman skill level experience in an industrial mechanical system. Mechanical includes experience in the following areas: Rotating Equipment, Bearings, Precision alignment, Product Moving Systems, Power Transmissions, Oil Seals, Mobile Equipment, and Gear Reducers. Pulp and Paper industry experience a definite plus. Industry experience is a plus SKILLS: Commitment to safety and quality Knowledge of basic manufacturing practices and strong problem-solving skills.
