for a General Utility Worker to join our Maintenance Operations & Fleet Management team. In this role, you will: Perform landscaping including moving grass, removing weeds, mulching, and trimming hedges. Perform daily mail and package delivery to NCDOT offices in the Raleigh area, including our Equipment Depot, 5105 Beryl Road, 4809 Beryl Road facility, and Transportation Building.
What You Bring Knowledge of general ground maintenance services. Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written work assignments. Working experience moving relatively-heavy objects and working at heavy manual tasks for considerable periods of time. Experience using small hand tools, such as shovels, rakes,
brooms, post hole diggers, hammer, screwdriver, or torches. Experience operating power tools, such as lawn mowers, hand trimmers, air compressors, chainsaws, weed eaters, skill saws, or drills.
Strength and agility to perform general landscaping maintenance. A Driver's License. Note You will be exposed to heat, cold, and dust. Perform routine building maintenance as directed, completing tasks like painting, floor care, pressure washing, basic plumbing repairs, etc. Ensure all repairs and service orders are completed promptly, according to operating and safety standards.
