A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN ll As a Maintenance
Technician for Evergreen Apartment Group, you are determined to ensure that our residents have safe, comfortable apartments in good repair and that they are happy with the level of service they receive.
When a resident moves out, you take great pride in making it move-in ready for the next resident. You promptly address any concerns that arise in the apartments of current residents and make the appropriate handyman repairs. You also assist in keeping the grounds neat and free of litter and perform emergency after-hours maintenance as required. You are known for being calm, friendly, responsive, and capable. You use your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deescalate residents who are unhappy and negotiate a cost-effective resolution.
You enjoy interacting with people. In addition to residents and coworkers, you communicate and coordinate with vendors and outside contractors on a regular basis. You are organized and keep good records, accurately documenting work performed on service requests as well as keeping tight inventory control of equipment and materials. Each shift brings a combination of daily checklists and unexpected surprises. You love that you are never bored! QUALIFICATION FOR A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN ll One year of relevant experience in maintenance, construction, home repair, or as a handyman Familiar with skills in electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs Sufficient proficiency with the technology needed to enter data into computer software, use emails systems, and operate a smartphone Ability to frequently push or pull up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, and work in a variety of weather conditions Reliable transportation Ability to be in the on-call rotation Are you reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently?
