This opportunity plays a key role in collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to support the maintenance of Operations facilities and maintenance of our fleet through goods and services contracts.

This position will be creating and identifying contract scope requirements, working directly with the SWD Contracts Team to purchase goods and services, monitor existing contracts, and manage the processing of services through established systems. Contracts can include work order contracts, project specific contracts, goods

& services, sole source, and public works construction contracts to support various units within the Operations section. You will be involved with: Learning new software program Maximo (building management software) Managing projects from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing: Work directly

with SWD Contract Specialists and Manager for guidance on setting up and managing service level contracts for Operations.

Supports facility management for regular maintenance needs (per contracts, if applicable), one-off repair and maintenance, space planning, and special facilities projects including coordination and communication with property management, vendors, and internal stakeholders, where appropriate for role and under direction of department supervisor/manager Supports facility and vendor management by engaging/coordinating with vendors and proactively identifying, reporting, and helping facilitate resolution for issues/repairs (in coordination with other team members, if applicable) Collaborates and trouble-shoots facilities related problems with other team members, external vendors, and management in support of customers/office space Fosters and builds positive relationships with team, customers, and leadership in all functions at all levels, and communicates effectively and proactively, as needed Ensures all provided service/support is carried out and meets customers' expectations consistently Visit sites as needed to help determine repairs or services.

Assign and manage work orders for facilities in Maximo Building Management Software as appropriate.

Maintains knowledge and uses departmental software, as required. You Should Have: Broad experience and background that includes maintenance/repair of facilities, contracting for services, and heavy-duty equipment service contracts. Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, initiating contracts and bids for services in a government setting. Possess a collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally in and outside the division. Has a continuous improvement mind set. Understands LEAN principles and methodologies to offer value added services.

Are composed during complex, sensitive and /or political situations. Demonstrated experience with intermediate to advanced computer skills. A strong communicator that interacts tactfully with various audiences at all levels to accomplish the work. Culturally aware and comfortable having conversations and taking actions regarding race, equity and social justice. It Would Also Be Great if You Have: Use of Building Management Software - Maximo Ability to learn new software quickly Knowledge of government contracting Familiarity with a unionized work environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of facilities maintenance repairs, light construction and handy-man work.

Working Conditions: Onsite Work Requirement: The work associated with this position will have the following locations: Cedar Hills Landfill, 16645 228th Avenue SE, Maple Valley, WA and other locations in King County (i. e. Algona, Enumclaw, Renton, Tukwila, Factoria, Houghton, Shoreline, Vashon, etc. ). Work Schedule: This position generally works a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. Physical Environment : The candidate must have the ability and willingness to work in an industrial site setting with adverse conditions such as dust, odor, high volume noise and heavy traffic.
