We are currently seeking: Service and Maintenance Technicians The Service and Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of routine maintenance for perimeter security and electronic security components installed at customer sites and facilities.
Duties/Responsibilities Use prints, drawings, manuals, and electrical schematics to perform maintenance on given components. Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service. Thoroughly cleans, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Records and reports damaged,
worn, or broken parts. Orders and installs replacement parts. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns. Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
Prepares reports documenting work performed. Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools. Use precision measuring equipment and electronic testing devices. Deenergize and take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts. Diagnose, analyze, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. Determine proper wiring based on conditions in the area the wiring will be installed. Such as wet, RF interference, and gauge depending on distance. Follow all site safety and environmental policies & procedures,
including proper use of required PPE. Complete all required training including CPR, First Aid, and OSHA courses Provide excellent customer service.
Cross trains to perform other jobs as needed. Cooperate with other team members. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions. Basic networking understanding. Ethernet switches, media converter. Whether it is fiber or copper connections. How distance affects selection of networking media. Ability to read prints, drawings, manuals, and electrical schematics for given components. Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers or Tusco employees. Ability to work from detailed instructions to occasionally perform tasks independently. Ability to remain flexible with changes in assignments, location and weather conditions. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure. Extensive out-of-town travel required Physical Requirements Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to stand and walk up to ten hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
