The position works closely with all plant staff, vendors, and contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY: KNOWLEDGE OF: Principles and practices of food manufacturing, including: food safety, quality, manufacturing concepts. Principles and practices of coordinating capital projects. Principles and practices of maintenance, electrical, electronics, boiler, refrigeration PLC, fabrication, and welding. Knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and accounting. Working
knowledge of FDA , PSM , and OSHA regulations, GMPs, Sanitation, and HACCP. Understanding of associated processing equipment and engineering. Principles and practices of continuous improvement concepts and related application technique.
Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations ABILITY TO: Effectively manage and lead multiple projects with multidisciplinary teams toward a shared goal. Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion. Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions. Effectively organize, plan, and execute. Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets,
and databases. Meet behaviors established in Tree Top's performance management and development process.
EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING: A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, as well as experience in implementing and maintaining a preventive/predictive maintenance system. HACCP Certification, SQF Certification, Food Safety Programs training, ammonia training, boiler operator training, and/or pneumatics training are preferred. Electrical license and welding are preferred for some plants.
