Responsibilities: This position works rotating shifts. Manage and direct the hourly work force. Supervise the maintenance crafts and coordinate repairs in production areas. Perform equipment inspections. Follows up on shift objectives and directs resources to complete timely repairs to equipment. Documents shift activities. Prepares reports as required. Interface effectively with other members of supervision, personnel from other departments, and ISWA personnel. Responsible for safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping.
Other duties as assigned. Requirements: 2 - 5 years electrical/mechanical experience in a supervisory role. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Hydraulics knowledge and experience preferred. Former electrical and/or mechanical education preferred. PAY RANGE: $59,400 - $74,250 DISCRETIONARY TARGET BONUS: 12% The Location: Liberty Steel & Wire is based in Peoria, IL. Responsibilities: Manage and direct the hourly maintenance craft personnel on daily assignments and project work. Multi-task and prioritize a changing work schedule during a given shift. Facilitate the safe and efficient completion of work requests in all types of facility and equipment maintenance. Responsible for productivity, quality, safety and housekeeping, scrap control, and process control. Interface effectively with other members of Supervision, Engineering, outside vendors and union personnel to meet productivity demands.
Requirements: High School or GED education required and 5 years' experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance position. Strong heavy industrial mechanical and electrical merged craft maintenance supervisory background preferred. Must possess the ability to interpret detailed prints for assembly and manufacture of machine parts, complex assemblies, and weld fabrications. Assertive and goal oriented self-starter with a positive attitude. Must possess a sense of urgency and capable of multi-tasking. Strong communication, organizational, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Must be capable of using personal computers, Microsoft software and capable of learning maintenance software programs.
