TAKES? The Maintenance Planner is accountable for development of comprehensive work packages, supporting excellence in execution of the right work at the right time, by multi-discipline trades, including internal and external department resources for a broad cross-section of equipment.
Planners are recognized for their expertise in applying planning process ‘best practices’ and should be capable of planning work for multi-disciplinary trades against a broad cross-section of equipment. The focus is on job planning, not craft planning. Planners typically require equipment knowledge breadth and capability to interact and plan for multi-discipline trades. A ‘craft’ background (certificate of qualification) is beneficial.
The Basics: High School Diploma or GED-equivalent 3 years’ minimum experience in maintenance activities within a heavy manufacturing environment needed In-depth experience with SAP CMMS required Working knowledge of SAP-PM and FMEA Working knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, Power Point, Project) Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic Ability to communicate technically and effectively with Engineers and Specialists as well as outside Contractors and Vendors Experience or design knowledge of Electric Arc Furnaces, Ladle Met Furnaces, Vacuum Degassers, Slab Casters strongly desired, including knowledge of pumps, hydraulic systems, lubrication systems.
