The main purpose of this role is to improve work force efficiency by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution, providing coordinated availability of resources, and ensuring detailed backlog management. The Maintenance Planner is charged with supporting the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating, scheduling, and recording required historical data. The key responsibilities
are: Plan and schedule maintenance work on daily, weekly, and shutdowns as well as track performance and maintain accurate records. Coordinate work orders with maintenance support to manage backlogs efficiently.
Ensure timely and coordinate availability of facilities and equipment to be worked on including parts, materials, and special tools/equipment for orderly and efficient performance. Provide all documentation needed to perform work. Maintains close liaison with Operations, Stores, Engineering, other Planners, Maintenance Supervision and Personnel. Proven maintenance planning experience. Responsibilities would include developing job packages, ordering materials, developing TLV procedures, writing/editing PMs, closing work orders, etc. Experience in heavy industry (aluminum, steel, mining, paper/pulp, etc. ). Proven ability in electrical or mechanical trade/industrial maintenance. Capable of using a CMMS. Ability with Microsoft Office products including Project. Experience with troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
CMRT, CMRP or similar certifications would be a plus.
