Job Overview Approximately 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Fort Greely provides a truly one-of-a-kind experience to work, live, and play in a scenic Alaskan location with endless opportunities. Fort Greely, Wolf Creek Federal Services, Inc. (WCFSI) provides support for the Missile Defense Command, with a primary focus on maintenance and repair. Work and live in a unique remote location surrounded by wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Enjoy year-round outdoor adventure including hiking,
fishing, dog sledding, and aurora watching. Fort Greely is conveniently located nearby Alaska’s two largest cities: Anchorage and Fairbanks.
These locations provide many big city amenities including shopping, dining, and nightlife. Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Perform services in facilities per contractual requirements. Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Service, clean and/or supply restrooms. Gather and empty trash. Clean building floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Shampoo carpets. Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning duties. Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using cleaners, sponges, or squeegees. Provide services while being aware of work environment, i. e. not interfering with personnel working in areas being serviced. Perform other duties as required. Job Requirements Mandatory: One (1) year industrial cleaning experience (multi-unit buildings, commercial facilities, institutions, etc. ) to include scrubbing or dusting surfaces, mopping, shampooing, applying cleaners and sterilizers, stripping/waxing and buffing floors, vacuuming, trash disposal and other cleaning functions.
Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment. Must meet and maintain company physical, including respirator qualification. Ability to obtain and maintain a Do D security clearance at the Secret level. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as pertinent to the position. Must be insurable to operate government owned vehicles.
