The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We're diverse, creative, team-oriented engineers and managers working to develop data centers that are changing the contemporary

computing facilities. As a Data Center Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team in 24/7 Data Center operations. You'll be responsible for working towards Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal teams on uptime, efficiencies, and cost.

You will grow the campus team to meet the needs of the business, and leverage technical talent across the campus and identify key hiring needs for regional data centers. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible.

We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $121,000-$181,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience as a facilities manager, chief engineer, or operations manager. 5 years of experience in people management. Experience with electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment.

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree. Experience collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards. Understanding of Power and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) requirements for high-availability data centers. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment. Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. - Plan and execute campus operational budgets, expense forecasting, and manage established budgets. - Set plan deployments across multiple sites.

- Create strategy for cost effective operations, focused on total cost of ownership. - Demonstrate critical thinking and innovation in approaching traditional data center and emergent problems. - Lead efforts to integrate Google-wide strategy and execution with internal and external business partners.
