Application Engineer your role will perform the following: You will be responsible for conceiving, researching, prototyping, and productizing approaches to increase the overall throughput, utilization, and energy efficiency of HPC, Cloud, and AI systems.
You will be work with collaborators throughout Intel to drive changes at the hardware, firmware, OS, and system level to drive customer adoption of Intel technologies. You will have strong understanding of both software and hardware/firmware to assist in hardware and software Codesign efforts to help provide system focused solutions to customer challenges that may not be addressed by hardware or software alone. The ideal candidate will
have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below: Understanding of state-of-the-art techniques for power management, analysis, and distributed computing.
Understanding system analysis using Intel VTune, Intel Advisor , or other Intel analysis tools for characterization is expected as part of performance characterization and research for future system scenarios. Software development experience for both open and closed source projects. Knowledge of Linux, drivers, Sysfs, heterogenous programming models, and data analysis techniques for large data sets is expected. Knowledge of Cloud or AI workloads. Qualifications You must possess the minimum education requirements
noted below and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or directly related fields and 1+ years of industry work experience or Ph D in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Including the following experience: 3+ years of experience in managing cluster power. 3+ years of experience in performance-aware cluster power management. 2+ years of experience in open-source GEOPM project.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in research and publication of system level research for system optimizations or energy efficiency. Experience in HPC and AI workloads. Experience with parallel programming concepts. Experience with HPC or Datacenter architectures, power management policies, sustainability, and open source development. Experience with m odern architectural techniques regarding performance and power analysis and modeling of modern microprocessors and system. Experience with p erformance and energy modeling frameworks. Experience with Cloud or AI workloads.
