Job Purpose Responsible for the engineering, design, and technical oversight during the construction of projects relating to the gas distribution networks in New York City (Staten Island, Brooklyn & Queens). Key Accountabilities Perform engineering and design for natural

gas construction projects which may include distribution pipelines, bridge/highway/waterway crossings, remote operated valve installations, check valve installations and metering facilities.

Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Oversee multiple gas main replacement projects, adapt to fast-paced environment Make strategic decisions, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks for on-time delivery. Identify, specify, review, and approve materials to be used in association with gas construction projects. Collaborate with Gas Operations, Gas Asset Owners and Gas Engineering in

the development of procedures to support the engineering and design of gas facilities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements, including all safety, health and environmental standards and procedures.

Compile and review as-built documentation for accuracy and incorporation into mapping and document management systems. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline required. 2+ years of engineering, design or project management experience required. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred. Experience in the application of design and construction standards, engineering drawings, and underground construction methods and procedures required.

Basic technical knowledge of natural gas system design and operations including natural gas industry codes and regulations, engineering and environmental codes and standards required. Basic knowledge of OSHA, PHMSA, and applicable State regulations required. A valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required. More Information Salary $98,000 - $115,000 This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
