Position Summary Assume leadership role in GIS to analyze, interpret and perform circuit-level and system-level record QA/QC on all spatial network data to ensure system data integrity. Use experience to develop, maintain and report effective QAQC processes to verify data integrity and processes to support GIS business units and other end users. Tasks and Responsibilities University hours in GIS preferably in the ESRI software, or 2 years’
experience in Geography/Geographic Information Systems, Cartography, data editing in Arc GIS. Perform all GIS end-user system and circuit-level SDE batch reconcile, resolution and post tasks for gas and electric facilities.
Serve as subject matter expert to correct gas system and electric circuit trace errors and resolve geometric network Issues. Assist with the conversion, placement standard documentation, and schema development and subcontractor management of current and future projects. Assume more complex assignments consisting of large industrial and commercial underground construction sketches, circuit reconfiguration, load changes, phase changes and system and civic improvements.
Maintain schematics, drawings and complex underground designs.
Performs these activities and responsible for monthly report to consistently come in below the 30 OMS cycle time. Maintain electric flow, phasing, and voltage discrepancies, looping errors, and confirm that all other required facility feature attributes are accurate and complete as it relates to Electric and Gas data. Use extensive experience to validate geometric network requirements for gas and electric facilities, parent/child associations, connectivity, snapping, missing features or objects, missing attributes required for the proper functioning to support SDE and Arc FM functionality.
Responsible for creation/updating of Placement/Training Documentation for conversion standards for current and upcoming GIS projects. Use demonstrated proficiency and experience in Arc GIS/Arc FM, geo-database architecture, data integration, and geo-processing to produce special data request map products. Use Arc Map functionality to produce specialty Gas and Electric facility mapping and data product requests for internal and external use. Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities Capability to create and maintain all CPS Energy data facility standards. Use Arc GIS tools to analyze complex data layers and feature class relationships to produce specialty data maps and reports.
Ability to effectively plan, organize, integrate, monitor, and maintain comprehensive GIS workflows and related applications to meet corporate GIS objectives, including developing and support long-range GIS goals. Experience to develop, maintain and report effective QAQC processes to verify data integrity and processes to support internal and external GIS business units and other end users. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to maintain focus under pressure, set priorities, and execute tasks required to normalize the situation.
Ability to work independently to develop solutions with little supervision and in a team for extended hours when required. Preferred Qualifications GIS certificated in the ESRI software, or experience in Geography/Geographic Information Systems, Cartography, data editing in Arc GIS. Practical experience using Schneider Electric Arc FM Designer Software. Knowledge to train others in the use of GIS industry practices and data quality requirements for ABB OMS applications. Functional understanding of collateral technologies integrated with Arc GIS data services such as Logica’s Work Flow Management Information System (WMIS), Schneider Electric Work Flow Manager, Outage Management Systems (OMS) and SAP.
Experience using Java, Python, model builder or other ESRI Arc GIS Desktop and service tools.
