Salesforce's Lightning Platform and Analytics team is looking for a Senior/Lead/Principal Software Engineer to build microservices, write functions, perform analytics and grow with them as they spin up new services to better serve customers. On the Analytics team, our mission is to empower our customers by helping them to understand their data through data aggregation, interpretation, visualization
and microservice creation. Your ultimate goal will be to become a champion of the data-driven culture in the Lightning Platform cloud by providing trusted data, getting the data ready for analysis, building self-service dashboards and tools to help engineers and product owners to make data-based decisions which results in continuous improvement of Lightning Platform experience for our customers.
Job Responsibilities: Develop tools and microservices to retrieve and analyze data from heterogeneous endpoints, transforming the data as necessary to be consumed through other service endpoints and visualization tools. Work with app engineers to define and analyze data for improving app performance and quality Define and maintain a set of key product performance and quality metrics Develop techniques for tracking performance and quality metrics over time and highlighting significant changes (e.
g. between two software releases) Work with large amounts of structured and unstructured data Collaborate with product, business, and technology stakeholders to ensure that data tagging and metrics are appropriately implemented Work with data and metrics in our internal analytics solutions Build data visualizations, reports, and dashboards, and guide stakeholders on how to interpret the data Present large-scale data using tools such as Jupyter, Splunk, Grafana Proficient with common analytical programming languages e.
g. Python; expert in SQL. Experience with writing production-ready code & automation in Python. Solid understanding of data transformations and analytics functions using tools/languages like Pandas, Sklearn, SQL and Spark. Experience with tools like R, git, ml Flow, Airflow, Cron, Docker and Cloud Platforms such as AWS/GCP is a plus.
