As a Associate Engineer, Solutions Engineering at RXO, you’ll be responsible for last-mile logistics solution design, analysis, modeling, and pricing support for new sales and growth of existing customers. What your day-to-day will look like: Work closely with internal sales resources (Business Development, Account Management, Operations, and Executives) to gather information from potential customers and develop solution design Analysis and modeling of customer data and assumptions, primarily in Excel, and sample routing of customer delivery data, modeled using Appian Direct
Route, or current XPO Last Mile routing software Creation of XPO Last Mile network maps, and client network maps for RFP solution support and re-zoning of existing operations, using Map Info Use and maintenance of XPO Last Mile’s dedicated pricing model in Excel, along with our transactional rating tables (tariffs) Summarize design and pricing assumptions in our RFP solutions.
Include details on our design methodology and software tools used in the solution process, such as Appian for routing and PCMiler for mileages. Project management of the RFP response process, including client questions, data cleanup, routing, mapping, pricing, and presentations, and on-time completion Participate
in special projects focused on process improvement. Occasional project management and process mapping responsibilities What you’ll need to excel: At a minimum, you’ll need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience Ability to prioritize engineering projects, depending on various project deadlines Strong aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources Proficient understanding of MS Excel and other MS Office programs such as Word and Power Point It’d be great if you also have: 1-3 years Last Mile or Dedicated Operations experience Routing/Optimization and SQL experience Group presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization.
