technical design and execution of machine and process automation. Includes electrical design and PLC programming of systems for rotating equipment, combustion, temperature, flow/pressure, level, batch, and coordinated control systems. Scope of development includes creation of intellectual property which provides a distinct competitive advantage over commercially available equipment.

Interface with Innovation Team to provide knowledge and develop equipment control and automation technology for the introduction and evaluation of new/modified products. Provide technical support for new equipment evaluation, assist with the installation, startup, training, and product launch phases. Evaluate

prototype equipment, document performance, and recommend modifications. Develop new automation technology to improve quality, efficiency and cost of existing products.

Hands-on technical design and execution of equipment technology. Design and prepare detailed computer aided drafting (CAD) schematics, plan & design automation solutions for simple to complex projects from observations, project scope, sketches, and specifications. Understands mechanical concepts, creates or assembles basic mechanical fixtures and mounts for sensors and actors Interface with Innovation Engineering personnel to obtain details of equipment and materials, and incorporate these elements into Bills of Material

(BOM) and procure parts. Assist with project management, planning and support Communicate project milestones and critical paths regularly to ensure functional and timely results Work and communicate well with team members and other departments Operate and assist with the evaluation of prototype equipment, document performance, and recommend modifications.

Maintains records and files of work and revisions. Creates and maintains operating instructions for automation equipment. Works closely with mechanical and electronics engineering to ensure functional electro-mechanical design and operation. Supports and contributes the Innovation team and vision Observes safety, maintains a clean and well-organized workspace REQUIRED knowledge/skills/abilities and other minimum qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or equivalent.

Previous electrical design and PLC programming experience required. Possess ability with analytical skills: methodically investigate problems, organize logical experimental trials, document data, and present results. Possess hands-on experience with equipment design and evaluation. Ability to create and modify electrical schematics in Auto CAD Electrical (or similar) and supporting documentation for system quoting, construction, installation, and post commissioning as-built documentation. Ability to use hands-on tools such as oscilloscope, digital multi-meter for process measurement, testing, and troubleshooting. Knowledgeable on NEC code, NFPA-70E, and Arc Flash requirements. Possess ability to document and create standard work procedures. Strong PC skills required Ability to travel up to 10%, mostly day trips to other Esinteraction sites, occasional overnight Additional Qualifications Highly developed written and oral communication.
