Wells Fargo Bank N. A. seeks a Principal Engineer in Atlanta, GA. Job Role and Responsibility: Wells Fargo Bank, N. A. is hiring a Principal Engineer to serve as a key tech lead on Digital Transfer and Payments initiatives as well as Online Payment Services. Build highly scalable, distributed,

event-driven, fault-tolerant, API-based enterprise applications in a scaled agile ecosystem. Provide technical direction to product owners, business analysts, application developers and performance engineers ensuring end state application architecture adheres to software as a service 12 factor best practices.

Evangelize and promote adoption of sound engineering principles like test and behavior driven development in a scaled agile ecosystem and effectively measure success by defining and reviewing KPIs. Execute roadmaps and strategies for converting legacy monolithic applications to cloud native API based services enabling integrations with cross channel internal and external applications.

Identify, classify, and prioritize risks; and implement robust plans for risk mitigation.

Review current and predicted system performance trends based on anticipated increase in application volume and make recommendations on steps to take to meet the SLA targets. Build cross channel applications and micro services using distributed domain driven design patterns and manage application performance, resiliency, and monitoring. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address. Travel required: None Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Applications, or related technical field plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a related role involving application development and implementation.

Specific skills required:7 years of experience in object-oriented design of highly scalable, distributed, micro service-oriented, API-based enterprise applications.7 years of experience as a technology lead in JAVA EE based development ecosystem building Java Web service based solutions. Experience building cross channel applications using API-first approach in an CQRS, event sourcing and data streaming based ecosystem using Apache Kafka.

Experience in building and maintaining microservices and APIs using Resilience4J (circuit breaker), consul (service discovery), Apigee (service gateway) and Redis (in memory data store) for cross channel applications. Experience with the following technologies: Java 8, Java EE, JMS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Tomcat, and VMWare TC Server. Experience in designing customer-facing front end solutions using React, Redux and Angular and Node JS and building integrations with analytics platform.

Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) in an Agile Software Development environment.
