About being our Civil Engineer Designer - Transportation As a Civil Engineer Designer , supporting our Transportation Team in our San Diego office, you will utilize your expertise to organize and execute the technical quality and coordination of a broad range of project assignments requiring solid knowledge of transportation and/or public works projects.
Responsibility Highlights for our Civil Engineer Designer - Transportation Designing any and all aspects of the transportation realm including traffic engineering, operations, streets and highways, road, ADA accessibility, signage, striping, lighting, and temporary traffic control/staging design.
Responsible for organizing and executing the technical performance of project assignments requiring solid knowledge of transportation and infrastructure on public works projects Under supervision, providing support to project team for all necessary design services, direction, coordination, and follow-up on the work duties assigned to ensure high quality deliverables are prepared, efficiency levels are maintained, and client satisfaction exceeded Design efforts will be concentrated in transportation engineering, to include: research & analysis, engineering studies, street and highway design, alternative modes of transportation, traffic design, and utility coordination.
Assisting with transportation/traffic related reports for roadway or traffic engineering projects Organizing and executing technical aspects of project assignments, and maintaining project files and project documents Minimum Qualifications to be our Civil Engineer Designer - Transportation Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree Minimum 1+ years of experience in civil and/or traffic engineering design EIT Certification (or in process) Knowledge in computer software utilized in the transportation industry including Auto CAD, Civil 3D and/or Micro Station skills, and proficient in MS Office Suite Skills in Synchro, Agi32, and other peer Traffic design and operational software's are desirable Familiarity with AASHTO, Caltrans, CA MUTCD and local municipality design and procedures, regulatory compliance and agency coordination We're a fun, rewarding place to work!
