Safety Engineer is responsible for analysis, specification, design and services related to the functional safety of our products and System. Duties include application of inherently safer design principles to the Chart systems, organization, leading, active participation at projects risk analyses, allocation of protection layers, safety requirements specification, design of protection layers and safety instrumented functions, functional safety verification and validation as well as functional safety management processes.
What should you have? BS in chemical / mechanical / electrical engineering experience in engineering design, control systems integration, including relevant experience
in a functional safety role, developing functional safety design and implementation projects functional safety engineer certification, advantageous Master degree of mechanical engineering, or other technical majority strong familiarity with industrial (preferably cryogenic) processes and equipment (pumps, compressors and expanders) knowledge of inherently safer design principles and process safety ability to read process and instrument diagrams, electrical schematics and equipment specifications experience with risk management techniques as per IEC 31010 knowledge and application experience of international standards IEC 61508, IEC 61511 (ANSI/ISA-84.00.01-2004) for process industry sector knowledge
of safety regulations and applicable industry codes / standards availability to undertake site visits What can you expect?
