You would present at technical conferences, identify new areas to grow our expertise, and help shape our future engineering talent! You would also identify potential clients, project opportunities and support pursuits, including development of proposals. Your voice will help lead our team to grow to the next level. You will also have the opportunity to manage team members, supporting their career development and providing professional mentorship. Your Impact Perform high-level
professional engineering relating to complex wastewater infrastructure projects for our largest wastewater clients in the Pacific Northwest area.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert in wastewater applications on wastewater conveyance, treatment, and pump station design projects guiding design approach and activities Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams, including experts across the country and a variety of specialty subconsultants, to execute high-level projects including managing scope, schedule, and budgets, while building client and team relationships. Coordinate, review and approve of infrastructure design plans, ensuring data integrity and work is compliant with all applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
Collaborate with professionals from a variety of disciplines to provide future ready solutions for clients. Support business development activities by identifying clients and projects, and support pursuit activities, including client meetings, proposal development and interviewing. Be active in local professional organizations and remain current in latest water engineering techniques. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, with a focus in Wastewater or closely related discipline. 12-15+ years of relevant post education experience in water/wastewater engineering. Professional Engineering (PE) license required. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage resources, and foster collaboration among stakeholders, subcontractors and team members.
Proficient knowledge of water/wastewater engineering principles, models, and technologies Well-defined knowledge of conveyance systems planning, design, engineering, cost estimating, and project management. Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. Demonstrated high-level of self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. Work independently with minimal oversight and provide guidance and leadership to junior team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC.
Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from data, arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution. Demonstrated effectiveness at coordinating and assertively directing subcontractors and others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Compensation Expected Salary (all locations): $111,000 - $255,400 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
