Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes. 5 years of experience using computer-aided design tools (e. g. 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks). Preferred qualifications: 8 years of experience in consumer product design. Experience with system integration, including
electro-mechanical components (e. g. audio, display, camera, antenna), waterproofing, thermals, grounding, or product architecture.
Experience collaborating with suppliers around the world on part manufacturing and final assembly, including onsite factory support. Experience shipping multiple consumer products in a lead or executive engineering role. Experience with NX and Teamcenter. Knowledge of multiple manufacturing methods used in consumer products. - Design a complex subsystem and/or multiple moderately complex individual parts from concept to production. - Collaborate with suppliers of subsystems and/or individual parts throughout the design and manufacturing process.
