The Specifics: Develop & verify algorithms & transfer functions that define electro-mechanical industrial machinery using computer simulation of mechanical processes or analysis of empirical data from operating machinery.
Design & implement software which generates control system setup & operating parameters Provide commissioning status reports Recommend improvements to test procedures as needed The Requirements: BS in physics, material science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related discipline Live in the Roanoke, VA area or be willing
to relocate to the Roanoke, VA area (relocation package offered) 2 years' experience in design or commissioning process automation/models software in a heavy industrial setting (Ideally metals industry) 2+ years' High-level programming language and object oriented programming exp.
Ability to travel up to 25% (at times with little notice) Preferred Qualifications: Mathematical modeling, finite element analysis, or thermodynamics coursework Work experience with hot or cold rolling control systems Work experience with metal strip processing line control systems
