Work consists of designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging systems,
software and solutions for research and/or research development of product, services, and solutions for HPE's portfolio. Requires a broad knowledge and application of engineering disciplines, methodologies and tools.
Management Level Definition: Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify
and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations.
May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and analyze PCB designs for manufacturability, identifying areas for optimization. Conduct thorough DFM analyses to address issues related to PCA fabrication, and assembly ( stencils, SMT, Wave soldering.etc ) Provide technical expertise in guiding design teams to implement DFM best practices and principles during the product development lifecycle. Work closely with designers to ensure designs adhere to industry standards and can be efficiently manufactured.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to PCB materials, stack-ups, and component placements for enhanced manufacturability. Develop and maintain DFM guidelines and documentation for internal teams Address and resolve DFM-related issues in a timely manner. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in PCB technologies to continuously enhance DFM practices. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics field. Typically 4-6 years experience. Proven experience in PCB industries and in PCA manufacturing preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledgeable in PCB laminates, and stackups.
Strong in PCA processes (stencils, wave pallets. 3D AOI.etc) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to resolve soldering issues, rework of BGAs, interpretation of dye and pry failures and other process related issues. Familiar and understanding of Industries standards related to PCA and PCB design rules (IPC-A-610, IPC A-600, IPC -2221, IPC-6012, IPC-7351A and JDEC standards such as J-STD-001, J-STD-020, J-STD-033, JESD201A, JESD22) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
