Interface solutions using Molex's 60GHz mm Wave technology for Contactless Connectors. Characterization of dielectric materials for various customers at EHF frequencies to determine material properties for use in design of waveguides and absorbers to minimize signal impairments such as channel insertion loss and crosstalk from adjacent channel.
Work with mechanical engineers to design 3-D printed housings and alignment structures to help create robust customer products. Internal Product Development Activities: Design, characterization, optimization and development of novel antennas in mm Wave frequencies to improve performance and realize specific radiation patterns. Design and simulate
EM Channels (waveguides and absorbers) for Reference Designs and Proofs of Concept.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) M. S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. 7+ years of systems design, hardware product validation and characterization experience for consumer/enterprise applications. Expert-level familiarity with Industry-Standard EDA Tools for Antenna Design and EM simulations. Some knowledge preferred about the Protocol and Electrical (Physical and Data Link Layer) levels of various High-Speed Multi-Giga-Bit Interfaces, including: USB3. x, USB2.0; Giga Bit Ethernet, Display Port; HDMI; MIPI/CSI. Extensive laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, VNAs, JBERTs, TDRs, etc.
for RF, Mixed-Signal and High-Speed Digital measurements: BER, Jitter and s-parameter measurements. Experience with Power Distribution, Signal and Power Integrity, Thermal Management. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
