The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Processing Technologies Group, is seeking an Associate FPGA Engineer with digital logic circuit design to work as Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Design Engineer to be involved in full life-cycle product

development of Radio Frequency Electronic Warfare (RFEW), Infrared Counter Measures (IRCM) and Advanced Target & Surveillance (ATS) Systems. You will be involved in Hardware Description Language (HDL) coding, test bench development, verification, synthesis, place and route and lab testing using state of the art tools and techniques.

This position is located at our Rolling Meadows, IL location. Basic Qualifications for Associate FPGA design engineer: - Bachelor's Degree in STEM related field with 6+ months of related experience or in lieu of degree, an additional 4+ years of experience is required. - FPGA and VHDL experience required. - Understanding of digital logic fundamentals - Ability

to read and understand Integrated Circuit (IC) data sheets - Basic familiarity with engineering lab equipment, e.

g. oscilloscope - Good attention to detail and self-motivated to learn - Ability to work in teams and communicate clearly across various levels of engineers - US Citizen and must have interim secret clearance prior to start. Once started, must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Do D Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: - Some understanding of Digital Signal Processing or Image Processing - Some experience with high level programming languages (C/C++) - Some experience with scripting languages (Python) - A strong team player who also can work independently - Active DOD Secret Clearance Salary Range: $75,700 - $113,500The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
