Is knowledgeable in at least two programming languages and is capable of mentoring developers in best practices and new features. Is responsible for overall application and integration design, including the appropriate technologies and patterns to be used and the interfaces involved. Develops new software components, and modifications to and support of existing production software. Designs and creates developer

What you’ll do on a typical day: Review new or updated API contracts, merge requested changes to contracts, generate various artifacts such as API specifications, SDKs for various supported languages, Apigee proxies etc. Validate, build and deploy generated artifacts. Help with troubleshooting and resolving

issues during development of APIs. Own Service Governance roadmap, perform QA and provide training to developers Develop and maintain tools and frameworks to enhance developer productivity Participate in developing appropriate programs and systems documentation according to established department standards.

Follow industry best practices, techniques and XPO Logistics standardized processes that deliver improved software solutions Evaluate the proper functioning and performance of software components using repeatable, reproducible, and reportable software testing methodologies. Install and upgrade software development tools What you need to succeed at XPO: At a minimum, you’ll need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience 1 year of relevant software development experience including creating business applications with relational database systems, within a fast-paced software development environment It’d be great if you also have: Knowledge of IT software development methodologies and processes in an agile environment Experience with modern build automation tools and frameworks (Team City, Jenkins, Ant), version Control Systems (Git, SVN, CVS), modern software build, configuration and release methodologies (e.

Continuous deployment) Knowledge of industry standard IDEs – Eclipse, Visual Studio - for Unix, Java, and Windows.
