· Must have a basic knowledge of 14 CFR 145 repair station activities and aircraft repair as performed per 14 CFR 43 · Must have experience with review of engineering drawings, researching and preparing calculations and writing stress reports · Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, must be a self starter and comfortable working multiple priority jobs while balancing customer expectations.
· Must have the ability to effectively work with and support
a multi-discipline team of engineers, technicians, Quality Control, upper management, etc. · Must be able to change roles between structural design work, stress work and troubleshooting while working to manage and maintain schedule on all related tasks · Candidates must have prior experience using 3D modeling systems (typically CATIA) to adequately review Engineering designs.
· Must be able to perform analysis utilizing Classical hand analysis and elementary Finite Element Modeling using FEMAP / PATRAN with Nastran. · Must have familiarity with, and prior usage and application of, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis techniques (AFGROW). · Must have skill in the development and analysis
of composite repairs Preferred Skills: · Experience with Electrical and/or mechanical systems troubleshooting · Experience creating 2D repair drawings · Prior Experience with Gulfstream aircraft · FAA DER or ODA unit member for 14CFR25 related aircraft structures · Experience with Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
Assignments are executed under the supervision of the Savannah Service Center Engineering Group Head to meet Engineering, Certification and manufacturing schedules. Analysis methods and design standards to be employed will be consistent with company standards and accepted methods. Additional responsibilities are outlined in the job description and as assigned.
NOTE - Initial onboarding and training will be at the Gulfstream Savannah Facility. Training time will vary based upon the candidate, but could be for a time period of up to 6 months before deployment to the site location in Mesa Arizona. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required. 10 yrs in specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for Ph D in fields applicable to this job.
