Requisition ID: 71908 Description As a FIB Engineering Technician, you are responsible for performing FIB, SEM, or EDX on Skyworks RF products to support R&D, manufacturing, Reliability,
and Quality in the development of new as well as the improvement of existing technologies and products. You will work closely with key stakeholders as needed and use provided documentation (schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans) to perform FIB/SEM/EDX.
Responsibilities Perform FIB/SEM/EDX on Skyworks products to support Manufacturing (Process and Assembly), Yield, Product, Reliability, and Customer Quality Engineering in understanding root cause of failed devices. Perform circuit modification (circuit edits, adding probe pads) to support Failure Analysis Engineers in fault isolation and root cause analysis of failed devices and to support RFIC
design engineering in circuit design and debug. Perform sample preparation (de-processing, coating) needed to perform FIB/SEM/EDX.
Provide guidance to other technicians as needed. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform FIB/SEM/EDX. Required Experience and Skills Associate in engineering or science discipline (or equivalent years of experience) and 6+ yrs related experience. Previous SEM/FIB (Scanning Electron Microscope/Focused Ion Beam) experience in semiconductor related industry. Understanding of fundamental FIB/SEM equipment working principle and ability to perform basic FIB/SEM equipment maintenance.
Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor device or being able to learn the device structure where FIB cross section is done and ability to read device layouts. Fundamental knowledge or experience with semiconductor process (Si-based or III-V based process). Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Ability to complete work in a timely manner and prioritize jobs in accordance with requirements. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and internal customers. The typical base pay range for this role across the U. S. is currently USD $66,500 - $116,800 per year.
Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U. S.
