will help develop commercial vehicle transportation solutions that reduce carbon and harmful pollutant emissions. Be a part of the team that pushes the boundaries of internal combustion engines by developing alternative fuel and hybrid powertrain solutions.

Have strong interest in areas such as transportation, future automotive technology, and engines/powertrains, as demonstrated through course selection, student projects, or activities outside of school that required technical study and applications within the automotive field. Feed your passion for seeing your ideas come to life by working amongst dozens of world class test cells to research and develop solutions to industry challenges.

Spring 2024 or Summer 2024 internship. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Assist systems engineers over automotive powertrains. Assist in development of software solutions for control and diagnostics of engines, aftertreatment, and electric machines for integration in test cells, HIL stands, or vehicles.

Attend weekly meetings for assigned projects, reporting-out to project managers on task status. Work in a team environment to assist in data collection and analysis of test data. Create reports using Power Point and Word. Work daily with the laboratory technical staff for support of test stands. Act as an internal point of contact to relay senior engineer requirements to the proper support

staff. This can include general mechanical work, electronic support, and machining assistance.

Participate in meetings with internal and external customers to establish system technical requirements and facilitate development of specification documents and system architectures. Support software revision control and tracking. Maintain and expand library of software features available for customers. Document processes developed during system integration tasks such as functional requirements, FMEA, interface diagrams, and monitors and diagnostics. Requirements: Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.

Have demonstrated interest in powertrain engineering through university coursework or personal study. Must have skills in the full suite of Microsoft products including Excel, Word and Power Point.
