In this role as a Process Development Engineering Intern, you will support development of new manufacturing processes and analytical test methods.
Assist lead engineers in defining processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and review processing techniques for the manufacture of new products to decrease cost, improve throughput, and improve overall quality for commercial product lines. You will primarily support the transfer and scale up new products from R&D and evaluate new technologies and concepts through analysis, prototyping, fixture design, and experimentation. Where you come in: You will support the development of novel analytical test methods, formulations, and relevant manufacturing processes.
Execute testing and developing iterative improvements. Confers with team to gain decisions with management, R&D, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing, formulations, process requirements and capabilities. Confers with vendors to determine basic product specifications and arrange for purchase of small equipment, materials, fixtures, and/or parts. Evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing and field performance data to identify issues and opportunities for improvements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and team alignment and make recommendations. This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned. What makes you successful: You are self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new things. Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel). Analytical, detail oriented and organized. Automation & Robotics, Machine Vision Systems (preferred). CAD experience, Solid Works (preferred). Travel Required: 0-5%Education and Experience: Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience and a High school diploma/certificate or equivalent. Must be a current bachelor's degree student graduating December 2024 or after. Non-Exempt Salary Details: The hourly salary range for this role is $21.00 to $24.00. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
