About the role Juno is looking for a Propulsion Engineer to work on the development of the RDC prototype program from early formation to full-scale test. This position will involve hands-on work with trade studies, design of hardware

and test facilities, coordinating with production, testing components, and developing sub-scale and full-scale prototypes.

We are looking for engineers who are creative thinkers, excited to work on difficult problems, and open to learning and growth both technically and professionally. Role responsibilities include: Contribute to product definition, requirements, and conceptualization Develop trade studies to inform product requirements and design Use CAD and other design tools to design the product and perform lifecycle management, including for all subsystems and overall system integration Create detailed fluid system designs and perform analyses on steady-state and transient operation Perform other analyses of the system including heat transfer and structural FEA Create technical design drawings (with GD&T) for production Coordinate with vendors to streamline production and help reduce costs Scoping of the test campaign plan, test facility design, and test stand prototype integration Assist with test campaign operation and data reduction and review Conduct design reviews, analyze data, and prepare technical reports to communicate project progress and results Contribute to technical company development, including assisting with technical bids, developing supplier relationships, and informing techno-economic models Identify risks and introduce innovative strategies that can overcome these risks to effectively Conduct work with a commitment to the highest levels of safety and integrity Essential skills Minimum of a B.

S. degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, chemical or physics desired) 3+ years of experience in the aerospace industry or academia working on rocket propulsion Firm grasp of engineering fundamentals (fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, heat transfer, combustion, etc. ) Experience taking basic design requirements and translating them to a realizable physical product Experience with CAD, GD&T, and creating technical drawings for production Programming experience with MATLAB, Python, etc.

Experience with fluid system requirements definition, test facility integration and operation Dedication to creating an inclusive team and company culture Desirable skills Experience working with rotating detonation combustion, pressure gain combustion, or adjacent technology Advanced degree in aerospace, mechanical, or other discipline of engineering (Master’s or higher) Industry experience with product development or flight hardware Experience with analysis tools like FEA, CFD Experience with developing computational models Position type This is an in-person regular full-time position.

Location Renton, WA Compensation The annual salary range is $90,000-110,000 based on qualifications.
